Telescopic Chute
Brief Product Description A Telescopic Chute is a flexible and adjustable material transfer system designed for the safe and controlled transfer of bulk powders or granular materials from one point to another, particularly from silos, bins, or hoppers into trucks, railcars, or other processing equipment. This system, by allowing for height adjustment and preventing dust dispersion into the environment, significantly contributes to improved working conditions, environmental hygiene, and material loss prevention. Telescopic Chutes are widely used in mining industries, food industries, power plants, grain silos, and loading terminals.
Structural Features Telescopic chute
- Multi-Section Design (Layered): Comprises several pipes or ducts nested within each other, capable of vertical movement (telescoping).
- Durable Material: Typically constructed from wear-resistant steel, stainless steel (for food and sanitary applications), or corrosion-resistant materials.
- Lower Skirt/Edge: At the bottom end of the chute, a flexible skirt (usually made of resistant rubber or PVC) is attached. This skirt seals against the surface below (like the truck opening) for better containment and dust prevention.
- Lifting System: Includes mechanisms such as a winch, electric motor, or hydraulic system for raising and lowering the telescopic sections.
- Suitable Inlet: The upper opening of the chute is designed for easy connection to the bin or silo.
- Explosion-Proof Capability (if required): For operation in potentially explosive environments, components are manufactured to ATEX standards.
Telescopic chute
Mechanism of Operation When material discharge is needed, the lifting system is activated, and the telescopic sections of the chute are gradually lowered to the desired height. The lower skirt then rests on the opening of the receiving vehicle or equipment. Subsequently, materials are directed through the upper inlet of the chute and flow downwards. The flexible skirt covers the space between the chute and the receiving opening, preventing dust from escaping into the surroundings. After the discharge is complete, the lifting system retracts the telescopic sections upwards, preparing the chute for transport or parking.
