Mechanism of Operation The operation of the Hammer Mill is based on the principle of impact and fracture. Raw materials are fed into the crushing chamber through the feed inlet. The machine’s rotor spins at a very high speed, setting the hammers mounted on it into motion. These hammers collide with the incoming materials, crushing them with great force. The crushed particles are thrown against the inner walls of the chamber or struck again by other hammers, a process that further reduces particle size. Particles that become sufficiently small pass through the screen or outlet plates and are discharged. The size of the outlet screen determines the final product size.
