Operational Mechanism Explanation In a thickener, the incoming slurry is directed into the concentration tank. Suspended solid particles settle at the bottom of the tank due to gravity, forming a dense layer of sludge. Meanwhile, clear water or liquid is largely separated from the upper layer and exits through the overflow. The Rake Scraper system, embedded at the tank’s bottom, gently guides the compacted solids towards the central discharge mouth to be pumped out. This continuous process ensures effective solid-liquid separation.
